Question about 1995 Eagle Talon

Reverse and 2nd not working at all this just happened out of the blue no warning at all

I have a 95 eagle talon with a hydralic clutch and the reverse and the second gear s are not working and this just happened all of the sudden no warning what so ever is there any thing that i can do or do i need to get a new one???? Thank you so very much with this problem

    Ok so i checked the resevior for the slave cylinder and it was empty so i filled it and now i have all gears except the reverse...

    if the slave cylinder is rusted really bad i should get another ... right??? oh and thank you for you help thus far

    should you check this fluid like you would your oil like every month or two weeks? if you drive the car alot??



    Sorry i am new to the stick shift ... always drove auto before

    can you get them into gear ? or not at all ?

    have you looked at the shift linkage ?

Well if it was emtpy that mean the slave cylinder it to blame, see if you can find it and any leaks. also you have to pump the clutch a few times befor it starts working right this may help. also you might have air in the lines now so you might have to bleed the fluid at the slave. eather way you need to find the slave cylinder

    well what i do, and is a bit extream is every time or every second time you fill up for gas, pop the hood and take a look. what's it to you right ? 5 more min now means no problems tomorrow. at lest 1 month check all your fluids, clutch fluid is usaly brak fluid so that kills 2 birds with one stone. also at lest every 3 months check your tire pressure. it sounds false but its true that your tires at the right PSI (32 psi or what the factory says) will help your fule economy. stay on top you oil and fluid changes. it may cost $80 for the works but it cost $1000 for new seal on your power stearing rack. and if your engine gose well you need a new car. so all in all the more you stay on top of things in your car the better it will be.



    i would keep a close eye on your clutch fluid. it being empty may mean it might happen again. if it dose seam to be leaking. this mean you have to fill it up one more time from now till next month i would replace the slave if your not going to do so already and try and find another leak if you did replace the slave.

CHECK THE LINKAGE TO THE GEARBOX FIRSTLY.SEEMS MORE LIKLY YOU HAVE THAT PROBLEM.

1995 eagle talon manual transmission i'm able to put my clutch down and shift gears, but car wont accelerate


Something is broken, that is for sure, pull the transmission out and first look at the clutch plate.

MY 95 EAGLE TALON was running good and now the RPM going high to 4500 on 45 MPH then i turn it off and run good but then start doing the same RPM high ,what could be the problem?


If it's manual it could be clutch slipping but if it's auto then could be a cellenoid that's sticking check trans fluid for dirtiness

I bought a 95 eagle talon and the clutch pedal goes to the floor and stays on the floor, I put the tranny in 1st gear to see if the clutch would disengage the drive but no luck, I topped off the fluid with...


there's also a clutch slave solenoid which typically sits on the firewall,. it's sort of like a booster to the clutch and would cause the problem you are experiencing... to locate, find your booster and follow the lines...

95 eagle talon esi automatic wont shift up out of 2nd gear


a bad coolanant temp censor will keep one from shifting into upper gears you need to run the codes on car an see what it says is wrong with it

95 eagle talon was fine when i went to the store


You may be low on transmission fluid or the torque converter is going bad. Check automatic transmission fluid level with the car idling on a level surface.

I have a 95 talon and my high beems wont work, my regular lights work but when i switch the high beems on nothing happens hw do i fix this


Check the fuses,if ok then change the highbbeem relay.If that does not solve the problem then cange the switch on steering columb

Wont go into first with out grinding or going in hard


Remove gearbox and replace the whole clutch assemberly.Problem is your thrust bearing as collapsed.Good luck.

yes. they are exactly the same.

NOTE:
  • the 95-96 year models, have a few sensor plugs that are different than the 97-99 models. such as the coil pack and the cam angle senor.
