well your have 4 tires thus 4 speed sensors. you can buy 1 and try to fix the one that's wrong or buy 4 and fix them all.

it is harder to determine what sensore is falty with out a computer.

so to fix them all/one it's the same thing just repeat for all tires.

    1-remove tire

    2-remove rotor and brakes/brake pads

3-inspect hub for damage (this may mean you just have to replace just the 1) things like a broken wire is a dead give away.

4-locate the wire (above stated) that gose from your engine compartment(for rear wheels just to the under carage) to the hub and into it. this wire is atacted to the sensor

5- remove bolt and sapport braket (5-8 mm bolt) and remove the wire from the hub

6- replace the wire/sensor(depending on the type of sensor you might need to just replace the sensor or the wire and sensore assebly.)

6A- for the assembly, follow the wire till it comes to a conection then back on to the wire. you need to disconect the conector useing a small flat head screw driver(smaller the better) DO NOT BRAKE THIS PART. then reinstall new part. note* the wire may be held to the fram by another braket you have to remove this to remove and install.

7- reverse of 1-5 for installation. make sure you use the grase supplied on the new sensor. if you have to make do any patrolium jelly (vasoline) will do. lightly cover all sides of the sensor befor installation.

8-****for the lights to go out**** you need to get a computer to reset everything. or disconect your battery for a mim of 3hours. if the lights come back and your sure you did the job right. this problem may be related to the ABS system, cruse control or brake lights. all you should look at befor getting started. brake lights are on and all are working, no leaking fluid from the brakes start at the fill cap and work your way to the wheels.

this should take 30 min per wheel, and anywere from $30-70 canadian for a sensor form NAPA.

Things are a bit different on the rear then the front just in location alown. try the front passenger side first to get a fell(there are fewer items on that side). never throw anything out till you know your never going to use it again. and in the mean time tell your wife to drive carfully and if it's a bad weather day stay slow and if you do slam on your brakes you wont have ABS or much of it.

ABS light, Brake light, and trac control lights on no brake problems. have to turn off engine and restart to clesr lights 2001 windstar

You most likely have a problem with the ABS brake system. First, check your brake fluid level as many vehicles have a fluid level switch that monitors brake fluid level and if the level is low it can turn off the ABS and turn on all those lights.[ABS is part of the Trac control] If that is good then you may have a failing wheel speed sensor, wiring, or a problem with the ABS controller itself which would require having someone connecting to and reading the ABS service codes with a scan tool to identify what the system saw that caused it to turn itself off. Brakes are a very important safety item so you should get it repaired as soon as possible!

The abs light and trac off lights are on, the trak off light is flashing

this is caused by a hard fault in the ABS/Traction control (all one system), the only way to pin down the problem is to have the Ford dealer test the system for trouble codes, the parts are very expensive so guessing is really not an option.
