Question about 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
The A/C fan only works sometimes and I am trying to find the location of the fan and the fuse for the fan as well or is it a relay? And where is it located? Also the passenger side blinker does not work but the stop light and flasher does. Is there a manual that I can read or print out to help me with these problems? I have a 1993 cutlass supreme convert with auto temp control, the blower fan runs all the time, even when the key is removed.
Blower running all the time, even with the key out is a dead ringer symptom of a bad blower motor speed control. Replace that an your blower problems will disappear. See post below. For manual, call your local library and ask if they have online access to repair manuals.

It physically will fit and bolt up,but there are many different ratio, and drive and driven sprocket tooth counts, different final drive ratios, all monitored by the computer with electronic speed sensors. If the trans from the 95 has a different ratio than the 93,the computer will set gear ratio error codes, and possibly put the trans in a failsafe mode, stuck in 2nd or 3rd gear.On the transmission case, down by where the passenger side axle would go in,is a thin metallic tag, maybe 2"x 3",and it has bar codes, and also a series of numbers and letters. The numbers and letters, large cap,are the final drive gear ratio code. They should match on the two transmissions in question.

It's not to hard to do, just have to lay upside down in your pas. floorboard, remove plastic panels under gloove box with small nut drivers,(can't remember size) then there are three hex head screws holding on the blowerplus the wireing connector, anf it has a wierd rubber gasket, hope this helps.

under the dash on the driver side there is a round or square sliver box that should say turn signal or flasher on it in the fuse box.

Sounds like the blower motor resistor which is under the dashboard on the passenger side near the blower motor. This is a small device that has three wires going to a plug inside the duct-work. You wil need a9/32 socket to remove the resistor.

Its in the glovebox, I know its wierd, open the box, pull up the trapdoor on the bottom and pull up to remove the whole box that it hidden in there, you should be able to see the fusebox after that.
