Question about 1997 Cadillac Catera
The low coolant light stays on even though the the coolant is filled. How can I shut the light off or where is the sensor so I can change it? BTW, I noticed the round donut in the coolant overflow tank is not attached to that stick in the tank. It just is floating around the tank. Any help???
Sensor is part of the overflow tank. lift the tank up and unplug the plug on the bottom. you can just cut off the plug and splice the two wires together or take a bread tie and strip off the paper then jump out the plug. to replace the sensor you must buy a new tank.

Just fixed mine. Unplug the sensor from the bottom of the reservoir and connect the two female holes with a peice of wire to complete the circuit. The reservoir just slides out of two brackets once you remove the top bracket clip. You can then get to the sensor easily and unplug the sensor. Pretty easy really.
