Question about 1996 Chevrolet Astro
REAR DOORS ON 96 ASTRO WILL NOT OPEN... EXT. HANDLE DOES NOTHING, NO INT. HANDLE. KEY WILL UNLOCK THE DOOR. WHAT'S THE BEST WAY TO OPEN THE REAR DOORS?
Check your fuses first, it is the same fuse for your cigarette lighter socket so if your cigarette lighter isn't working then the rear dutch door solenoid won't work.
That is the most common, also the switch itself can get dirty and when you press it in, it doesn't activate the solenoid.
There is also a way to open it manually, but it's not the easiest and they might not want me posting that information on here.
