Have the tires been balanced? this can also be caused by a defective tire cord, it is called cord separation.

You may have lost the balance weight on the wheel, or the tire it self has a flat spot on it which is common one older tires. The shocks also may be worn as to the shock bushing which will also have the same symptom as a bad wheel balance.
Good luck and hope this helps, have the wheel balance and checked for out of roundness at a tire shop and ask the person while the wheel is of to inspect the shock bushings for wear.
The tire parson can also tell you if you need a wheel alignment to as how the tire wear patterns are. A good place the knows there tire is Tire Rack. Just log on to www.tirerack.com to find the nearest Tire rack store is.
Good luck and hope this helps.

I have a 1994 chevy Cheyenne 1500 2wd and I have a hard vibration once I reach between 55-70. If I push the gas pedal a little harder or let off of it it goes away. Don't know what it is could u plz...

I presume that is miles per hour. If the vibration is felt in the steering wheel, the problem is probably in the front wheels. If the vibration is felt in the seat, check the rear wheels. To check the rear wheels, if it is not posi traction, just jack up one wheel at a time and bring the speed up to half the odometer reading (one wheel turns twice as fast as two wheels). To check the front wheels just rotate to the rear one wheel at a time.

Also check for bent rims and defective universal joints.

I have a terrible vibration at 100km/hr. it geos away at 110. what is the possible problem? abd don't feel it in the steering wheel.

Hi There..
have you checked the rear tyres for signs of delamination ( usual signs are uneven wear from one side of the tyre to the other) this could cause vibration that is not felt through the steering wheel.

When accelerating from approximately 0 - 20 mph

My immediate quick test would be to move the front tires to the back (and backs to front, of course) then try it out. If the vibration is still there but feels like it's coming from somewhere else (vibration could feel like it's in in steering wheel or seat), you've got a broken belt or bent rim (wheel). Don't want to get your hands dirty? Get all 4 wheels balanced -5 to 10 bucks per wheel.

Vibration felt in front floorboard

Yes it can but the dealer would have found it on the test drive if they test drove the vehicle. The only other causes for the vibration I can think of should have been found on inspection as well. Check your bushings and mounts for the sway bar and your tie rod ends as well.

Vibration at 100km/h

Hi crusty1,
Have you tried to exceed the 100km/h and if so does the vibration go away.... If so, take the vehicle for wheel balancing.... alignment would be a good idea at the same time.... If the vibration becomes worse and does not go away, have the universal joints inspected.....
If these suggestions fail, let us know more details about the vibration....For example, do you feel it through the steering wheel, or is it through the seat....Does the whole vehicle become effected....Does it seem to be in front, or from the rear? Give us more details....

Regards, Johngee10
