this is the sensor before the catalytic converter, it is in the cylinder bank opposite/across from the cylinder bank that #1 cylinder is in.

CAT monitor. know it well, too well.

no its not that.
the code tells that engine has a lazy or dead cat.
no engine stated.
its and XL-7 not and XL7, they are different cars.
3.6L V6
bank one is failing the person who told you bank 2 is full of beans.

"Catalyst Efficiency Below Normal (Bank 1)" SM quote. we change the front B1S1 front sensor first.
then the B1S2, sensor next.
then the CAT if sure no exhaust leaks are on Bank1.
S1 is front
S2 is rear
bank 1, is cylinder 1 side
bank 1 is,, right bank, usa is passenger side

look for leaks first in exhuast
then bad 02s, on right side , damage to wires.
the new sensors.
then new cat, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ last

IGNITION KNOCK (DETONATION) SENSOR the knock sensor Is on the back of engine (driver side on LHD vehicles) under the cam position sensor. it is a giant PITA to change. i had to cut a wrench in half (7/8 i think??) and use a pry bar to break loose the sensor..

Suzuki xl7 which side is bank 2 sensor 2

I assume then that this is a v6. Bank one should be the drivers side (I think) . Sensor 1 would be the one before the catalytc convertor and sensor 2 would be the one after it.

How do you change oxygen sensor bank 1 sensor 1 & bank 1 sensor 2 they are b4 the catalytic converter.what will need to do this job.and are they the same sensors one is $179.00 & $69.00.if to is...

do not buy the 1 for 69.00 it more or less a universal wher u have to rewire it buy the 1 for 179. and it takes a 7/8 wrench and bank 1 is the 1 on drivers side up by manifold not by converter
