1997 Honda Civic A/C Problem

My car only blows cold air out if I've been driving it for awile. While its idleing the air gets warmer and then sometimes the engine makes this weird clicking noise. If I turn off my a/c the noise will go away. Any ideas???

Sounds like you may be low on freon or need the system evacuated and vacuumed and then a fresh charge with oil

Idle air control. Its what meters the air at idle. They just get worn out and can't find where they want to be for the specific rpm the computer is looking for. Replace it.

1992 civic automatic idles okay when cold engine, but idle fluctuate 800 to 2500 RPM when engine hot

" Hunting" is usually indicative of a faulty temp sensor or air flow meter telling lies to your computer.
It can also be vacuum leaks, however these are usually apparent even when cold.
Male sure you don't have any air locks in your cooling system.

you should have hot water on all rad. hoses when the motor is running at a norm. temp. the water is not going through the heater core like it should. you have cutoff valve bad low water are a stopped heater.try a hoter thermostat if none of the above are true.
