Question about 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
I had the same problem with my 05 malibu! i had to replace the bulb socket (it was like $8 from the dealer). it was an easy fix and could have my dad replace it in 10 minutes.

Littlejevans: The turn signal flasher works against the resistance through the bulbs both front and rear. The Malibu's had a problem with the rear light sockets which caused problems with the tail lights. Have you checked to see if the rear lights are functioning correctly?
