Provided that the coolant lvl is alright.  The coolant lvl sensor could be bad or the wiring to your coolant lvl sensor could be bad.  The more likely case is a bad sensor.  If you can see the sensor unplug the wire and jumper the 2 terminals using a paper clip and see if the lite goes off.  If it does you know its the sensor if it doesn't you have bigger issues

Dodge shadow poor heat

Possible causes include low coolent level ( I know it sounds wrong, but if the coolent level is low hot coolent won't circulate to the heater core)

The thermostat may be stuck open, if it is the engine won't reach proper operating temp. Only solution is to replace, but it is easy to do and thermostats are inexpensive.

Heater core may be plugged, this is more likely if stopleak has ever been used to stop a radiator leak. Solution would be backflushing the heater core.

The valve that controls the flow of coolent to the heater core could be stuck or defective or the vacuum switch that controls the valve might be defective.

My 2001 cadillac deville has check coolant level

If you added the green anti freeze to you system it will make the check coolent level light come on. Drain the system and use the extended life anti freeze and that will fix the problem.

My friend has an older rx7 turbo 2 an the coolent light stays on and this really loud buzzer noise is on constantly. and its not low on coolent heat an all works i have no clue on why any of this would...

hi.
there is usally a coolant level switch just underneath the coolant bottle to tell you if the coolant level gets too low. check that the wires on this switch are ok. if they are, then the switch should just unscrew/unclip to change it for a new one.
it should be a fairly easy and quite cheap repair.

hope this helps.

I have Ecort 1.8 td from 2000 Y of production, and have white smoke on pipetail and idles very roughly, engine coolent is OK, oil level is OK, what can it be the problem?.

Even though coolant level is OK, it does not rule out a blown head gasket-has the engine recently been overheated? You should get engine compression checked, to see if you have low compression in 2 adjacent cylinders, to rule out the possibility. White smoke and very rough engine performance point to a blown head gasket, however.

Low coolent light want go off?

Your coolant overflow/recovery tank has a level sensor in it. If the level light won't go off, and the coolant level is where it should be, this sensor has probably failed. Check the tank for a wired (powered) part, and make sure that it is plugged in securely. If the plug connection is OK, check with your parts store for a low-cost replacement sensor.

My engine light when on in my car yesterday and my friend has one of those things that can scan and tell you whats wrong it said my coolent temp below thermistat regulating temp and where where you pull...

Hi:
Your coolant temp sensor was not reading right, and is a sensor that adjusts your eng timing. I would keep an eye on your coolant level. That would be a bigger concern, figuring out if you have a leak. If the cold comes back, you need to change out the coolant temp sensor.
