You will have to unbolt the seat from the undercarraige of the truck. If you look under the vehicle in the proximity of the seat you will see the nuts to remove.

assuming you mean the seat is broken on the frame and not moving under power, remove the seat, fix (weld?) the frame or replace it.

Mo, since you know the part that you need, get a new one instead of removing the seat etc which is more work.

The driver's seat is broken in my Honda civic DX Coupe, how do I go about replacing it?

There's a bolt in each corner of the seat frame that goes thru the frame and into the floorboard. Remove these bolts, disconnect any wires, and pull the seat out. Same with the passenger seat if you want to put it on the driver side temporarily. The seat movement control will be on the inside though when you do this. Not a good idea, bit it can be done. Same seats, different actuator lever position.

Yes a auto trim repair shop can remove the seat cover and weld the broken steel frame of the seat. Cost about $100.00 Do this right and have a pro do the work

The manual lever to adjust seat back of dodge dakota bucket seat is broken

You must replace the seat frame to correct this, the lever is not sold separetly. Another choice is to have the old one welded back on by a trim shop, about $50.00 I suggest you try and find a used seat frame, they are easy to change out.

I need diagram and directions to change the ratchet on the drivers seat in a 1996 ford bronco. the bottom frame is broken and need to take it apart to weld the frame as you can not find a decent seat to...

Follow these steps to easily remove the driver's seat from ford bronco 1) Lean under the seat and unclip the harness that connects the seat belt sensor to the seat. You may need to use a small flathead screwdriver to pull the release open. 2)Attach the Mac Tools SC620B socket to the 3/8-inch ratchet and unbolt the seat from the floor. 3)Attach the 3/8-inch ratchet to the extension and then the socket. Unbolt the two bolts towards the center of the vehicle. These may be difficult to remove from the channel, but they will eventually come out. Then lift the seat out of the vehicle. 4) Now if you want to replace only ratchet then remove the ratchet from the seat and place new ratchet and reverse the procedure.
This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya

Need assembly diagram or instructions for front seats in a 1979 Fireberd

I totally have just finished redoing mine. It turned out great. The reason I did this myself, I couldnot find seats and was told not parts are available. The driver side was broke down and I put new springs in and painted the seat frame, reused the old foam (did some minor repair to the foam) and put new leather on, (available from NPD.com) if you want me to give details my email is (bluesryder@live.com)

Driver seat removal

If you have power seats just look underneath the seat and you can unplug the electrical connectors that go to any of the seat accessories. Then you can remove the seat. Sounds like the left side of the seat frame has broken that supports the seat back.
