Try WD-40.
spread some WD-40 into the keyhole and move the key cylinder left and right. leave the key in the cylinder for about 30min. try again. the key should come out after the WD-40 penetrate the pin in the cylinder.

I installed anew gatehouse door knob, but it wont turn or open with or without key

Hi Jamie:
Try taking it apart, insert the key and rotate the keyed part 180 degrees (try different amounts until it works), and re-assemble.
Hope this helps.

Why wont my ignition key go into the ignition of my bmw x5 the remote locking works fine but the key will not go into the ignition its as if there is something blocking the key

Hi Keith

Sometimes the stearing lock comes on and sticks, try getting hold of the steering wheel and pull down to the left a bit at a time and at the same time try to put key in, or you can wobble the wheel as you are trying to put key in this also sometimes works...hope that helps

Try turning the steering wheel back and forth as you try to turn the key. I know it should be locked but sometimes kinda using a little force will unlock the ignition switch. I hope this helped you good luck.

My 2004 trailbalzer has the key stuck in the ignition and it is in park. nothing will come on tried to jump it with no success.. truck wont start and key wont go back into lock position and nothing will...

I know your question is a month old, but did you ever get the problem fixed? There is a TSB from GM saying the shifter boot is getting caught in the shifter mechanism causing th key to get stuck, Sounds like a copout because they dont' know what to do. I did see something about a 175amp mega fuse under the hood, possibly near the cowl on the passenger side that could have a loose connection.

My son drove our 1999 318i. when he tried to open the door using the key fob it wont unlock. when he tried using the manual key on the driver's side, the mechanism broke. the car wont open. how do we open...

I don't know that this will work, but try using the key and opening the door at the same time, both sides, this procedure works for locked doors and a dead battery, hope this helps, let me know.

Car wont start but all power is there

I know someone who had same problem.
They had to go to the dealer to get it fixed. Is the security light on? the security key that has a chip in it is just a resistor. If you match the resistor and bypassed it that is a way to get around it. I read. But not positive. And also hear it is in the door. Somehow have the key in or on and unlock the driver door with door key to show you have the key? Try cleaning the key contacts real good. Sometimes that will keep it from making contact. I tried looking up a solution on Wikipedia and it had one but the person b4 donated i think 5 dollars or something and to see the answer had to pay.
I hope this helps.

2005 ford taurus. Remote entry wont work theft light keeps blinking when key is engaged

HI, I'm reading your problem,
Let me explain something about your car.

2005 Ford Taurus, The key on that car has Chip inside of the key and receiver on the ignition switch,
Check if the key you are trying to use is Black and has a plastic head.
If not you need a key with that characteristics.
But if you have the right key, Remenber if you had drop on the floor, or hit with something,
Because some times they come damaged, with insignificat thins.
Remenber if you left the key close to a magnets like speakers.

If nothing aply at your case, you need to call a place Aloha Smith, they have the computer to program or reprogarm your key. IF not you can't start your car.

OK.. I hope this information work for you.

Thank's for submit yous question on
