Question about 1995 Chevrolet Blazer

2002 Chevy Blazer won't start after it rains

After it rains, I try to start my truck and it will turn over but not fire. When i let off turning over, sometimes the engine spins backwards.
I have spark and fuel and cant figure it out. If I come back the next day It will start and run normal. I have a new fuel pump, plugs and cap and rotor. My step-dad is good with cars and he can't seem to figure it out. He thinks it might be a sensor or something. Do you know what this could be?

Porous ignition wires can do that..especially when they are damp....too much power is lost to ground on the way to the plugs while cranking. as you release the key, power to the starter is cut, supplying a bit more voltage to the coil, not turning quickly enough, the spark pushes the engine backwards a bit.

Your current problem is one you need to be there to fix...Beginning with the original problem, a poor wire connection can also give you a similar problem...when damp a connection can break down just enough to prevent starting. I'd keep that in mind while testing other components.I would begin by removing the plugs, re-checking the gaps and (keeping them in order) determine which if any are black, wet with fuel etc. This can tell you a lot about what is happening inside. Having fuel and spark is good but they have to happen at the correct time.Get a manual and a decent digital volt/ohmeter. The three components I'd check first are the throttle position sensor, the MAP sensor and the mass air flow sensor.I believe both haynes and chiltons have instructions for these basic tests.Together they have the most influence on ignition timing and fuel delivery.
Assuming that you have not turned the distributor, the static timing should still be where it was before you had the problem. I would check the distributor shaft for side play though. if it's wobbling all over the place the distributor is bad. It would not hurt to do a compression test as well. Also, make sure the spark is healthy and not a little orange wimpy blip. Hope some of this helps!!

I'm having problems with a 2002 Chevy Blazer 4.3L not turning over after changing the plugs

Check the firing order. If you took all the plug wires off at the same time, then there is the problem. Back firing out of the intake is a sure sign the firing order is wrong.

98 Chevy blazer won't start up but will crank ,,

Try giving it a shot of starting fluid. You don't say if it's actually firing. If it tries or runs for a few seconds off of the starting fluid then try changing the fuel pump relay. It's inside of the glove box on the left hand side behind the little door. If that doesn't work it's most likely the fuel pump.

97 chevy blazer w/ 4.3 won't start unless i pour full directly into it....what is causing this. was driving and it just stalled ...fires but won't turn over completely

if you can put fuel in throttle body and it runs. then it is not getting any fuel. check your fuel pump fuse and the relay, if ok, then you may have a bad fuel pump or a plugged up fuel filter. check filter and fuses first. good-day !!

Lately, whenever it rains, my 1998 chevy blazer wont start/won't run. the engine turns over, but it won't run. after 2 or 3 days it will fire up like nothing was wrong with it to begin with. any...

Whenever I had this problem, it was always cured with a new set of GOOD spark plug wires. Not generic set off the parts store shelf. Get some moisture removal spray and put it on both ends, the coil and the plug, before putting the wires on. Do one wire at a time so you do not get them mixed up. I do not think you have a distributor or a cap. If you do replace it also as it is over 20 years old.

2002 chevy blazer won't start when it is cold/damp outside. Fuel pump repaced 3 times in a year. What could causing this?Starts fine when weather is nice.

could be a defective distributor cap(crack in it allows moisture in...moisture displaces the spark from where it needs to go).
You could try to replace the distributor cap and rotor.
