I have S 430 2002. Just after few minutes the car alarm is on or lock the car, the driver side light keeps blinking untile you unlock the car or turn off the alarm. Last night I was not able to start the car, but after jump the car the car started.
More than likely it's a botched alarm install. There are several sitches that control the overhead lamp inside your car, as well these wires need to get thier elecrical current from the battery. There are several wire " clusters " behind your dash panel, and more than likely, when the alarm was install after-market, the installer wired the alarms " armed " signal lead to the wrong wire behind your dash, or in the fuse box itself (i've seen some rediculouse wiring jobs)
Your best solution is to find out the exact model of alarm that was installed, and try to obtain the installation documentation, as well as get the manual for your car, and check that the woring of your alarm is correct for your model / make / year of car.
I'll almost bet you money, it will be as simple as clipping one wire, and wiring it to the correct wire.
It
can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but
the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again
properly.
Or
else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact
with alarm wiring causing it to happen.
And
last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere
in between.
There
are few help links with solutions, to troubleshoot these types of problems.
I suggest going through these links.
