Take sample of your fuel into clear plastic bottle from fuel line
is there any water present?
this can cause these codes and then not go on storing codes for other bank even though that bank will be missfiring also due to water & P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected being logged
check all connections to coils/leads & wiring connectors
due to miss fire codes for cyl 1,3,5 all on the same bank
also look and check for air leaks on that bank (hose knocked off or splithose)inlet manifold gasket, brake booster etc...
3 injectors being blocked slightly on same bank posible!!!
check wires and signal

was it running like this b4 tune up & repairs?
this is what codes are
P0170 Fuel Trim Malfunction (Bank 1)
P0300 Random/Multiple Cylinder Misfire Detected
P0301 Cylinder 1 Misfire Detected
P0303 Cylinder 3 Misfire Detected
P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected

the last code is for trans due to misfire/running lean on bank 1 probably a torque problem code

Check engine light is on and the car runs rough at idle only. There is also a burning smell when I exit the car coming from under the hood. What could be the issues?

have a parts store pull code, to see what sensors r at fault, tps throttle position sensor may need adjust, oxygen sensor needs replaced, may have two ? both need replaced. gas cap might b faulty ? in any event, the trouble code must b cleared out from computer, after repaired is made. if engine light comes back on, reclear it. sometimes intermittant sensor problems occur, engine light comes back on. well, the gas we buy with ethanol is killing our engines, put some fuel stabilizer in @ next fuel up. but try some fuel injector cleaner first, winter gums up injectors, soooo ! fuel filter replacement is always in need, people don\'t get it, replace all filters, air, fuel, oil, get it ? maintenance is a necessary evil. u change yur clothes ever day, right ? well, same thing., good luck, ken

Jeep is burning gas really fast, what can be causing this?

You might want to check the wires that go to the 02 sensor it sounds like when the tune up was done the wires may of become dis-connected. Unless of course the tune up was done to correct the problem. In that case first check for gas leak under car and around gas tank, if OK then, next ( I take it there's no check engine light on) borrow a fuel pressure tester from Auto Zone and test the fuel pressure After you've hooked up the tester run the engine a few minutes then shut it off and watch the gauge it it slowly drops you more then likely have a leaking fuel injector. If in fact this is the case, before you replace the injector run the fuel down to 1/4 tank and add a good fuel injector cleaner to the gas and run until close to empty. Put fuel in tank and drive at least 50 miles to allow fuel system to clean out. If still the same then the injector is bad. Note; You could also have a bad 02 sensor but that should set the check engine light.

Increased fuel consumption

First-- fire your repair shop & get one that
listens to your explanation of vehicle problems

They have to diagnose the vehicle, not just tell
you no codes are present.

The check light will leave codes stored

Spark Plugs don't exactly make for a tune-up

For over 30 years the car computer does the tuning

The upstream or front oxygen sensors should be replaced
on all vehicles at 100,000 miles, was that done

Was fuel trim checked
Was any scan tool data looked at
Was the car road tested with scanner

Don't need 12 oz of injector cleaner in 15
gallons of fuel,that won't do a thing

There are at least a dozen tests that should be done,
at least once a year, on all vehicles, not wait until you
have a problem

The main theme on this web site, seems to be a
deteriorating repair shop capability & the vehicle
owners ability to communicate with them, as a result
of decades of distrust & dislike, as well as no understanding
of test equip costs & parts costs

The shaking could simply be from using the wrong oil &
not changing it 4 times a year or more & now you have
variable valve timing issues

So many things to to be checked out

2000 alero gas pedal hesitation as well as shut off when slowing or stopping

Usually the problem of hesitation is caused by a faulty throttle position sensor or low fuel pressure, and stalling is a dirty throttle body or faulty idle air control valve.

How to change the02 sensors on a 2003 buick rendevzous

The O2 sensor on your Buick is located on the rear (under windshield cowl side of your exhaust manifold...You might be able to spray injector cleaner on it after removal...use PB Blaster to lubricate before removing the nut...also have you tried running some gas tank fuel injector cleaner in your gas tank recently? Sometimes this will help the sensor to work properly. To clear your "check engine light" you need to disconnect the positive side of your battery cable for about 15 minutes, then reconnect...the light should stay off if all is OK...Hope this helps.

Hesatation and rough idle

Hi, your Car needs a tune up. Have the spark plugs replaced a fuel injector cleaner added to the fuel tank and replace the air filter if it needs it. Change the oil and filter at least every 5,000 miles also. I believe by having these services done your rough run will be gone...

2004 volvo s 60 check engine light on

I would replace the bad 02 sensor and also have the engine checked for a tune up and fuel injection purge. Make sure whoever does the repairs clears the ECM memory so the light will go out. Bad spark plugs and dirty fuel injectors can cause a rich condition that a weak 02 sensor can't keep up with.
