Clutch problem

I would think you have a hydraulic clutch, so there should be a return spring on the pedal or the master cylinder.

My Nissan 95 sentra clutch had crunched and pedal would not spring back, found that clutch cable had snapped, replaced this and now my clutch pedal is still not 100% springing back, it springs back en

Check the spring to see if it has snapped anywhere within it's coil.

Remove the cable and check operation of the pedal and spring mechanism.
If all is well, then with a lever, check that the clutch release arm on the gearbox is operational. If that is also sticking, then you will have to remove the gearbox to investigate further.
If not sticking, then also remove the clutch cable outer sleeve, and replace.

Clutch problem...?

Hi Amiralred, I believe the problem is to be found with the clutch plate and most likely to do with a defective center boss. When it is removed I believe you will find that one or more of the torque absorption spring has broken and possibly the center boss. A good idea with clutch plates, is to use original replacement parts if possible. Regards John

Clutch gets stuck fully engaged every nown and again

Its probably something in the clutch master cylinder. There is a spring inside the cylinder and another on the pedal to pull it up.
I'm assuming the pedal is not sticking on the floor mat.

Have you checked the pedal spring?
Most cars but not all have a pedal hanger spring, this keeps the pedal up and off the floor even if not connected to anything.
These springs do break and when they do the symptoms you report are the outcome.
If you get on the floor and look up at your pedal hangers, and with your free hand check the pedal operation/swing. If your vehicle has this spring you will see it as you look up, if the spring is broken it is a simple job to replace it.

Some vehicle have a spring like this:

I have a 94TR magna 4cyl 5 speed manual clutch pedal problem

prob has little to no clutch fluid, to check this open the bonnet, in the engine bay next to the brake master cylinder there is a round clutch master cylinder, unscrew the cap and topp it up with brake fluid.
If the system has run dry you may need to bleed the system, if not completly empty should be able to pump it a few times and will come good.
If this is the case there is a leak somewhere...

Clutch

There is a spring on the pedal up under the dash, if this has come undone then the pedal may not be able to come back up to the normal position. The spring connects directly to the pedal and to a bracket under the dash.
