If you open the car hood, you should be able to see some rubber belts for the pulley (camshaft and alternators etc)

High possiblity one of the belt is on its way out.

Also a common problem for the rubber friction noise is that the pulleys are not aligned properly.

This causes the rubber belts to run at an angle (not properly seated on the grooves)

You may want to get this checked out as soon as possible as the friction noise means the belts are wearing out at a faster rate.

Loud thumping and whinning noise

It sounds like you have a lot of wear on your ping and pinion gears in the rear end. Ford has a product you can purchase from their parts dept that will help with the noise but eventually you will need to get the gears replaced. The product is a friction modifier designed just for rear ends.

Dragging sound when backing up?

Check the brakes to see if they are worn out. The indicators make a groaning noise when the friction material becomes low. You hold be able to jack up the wheels and turn them by hand and hear the noise. Then focus on that wheel.

When i push down on the front right side of my 1990 integra i hear what sounds like a moaning noise, almost like a rusty swing. What could it be?

Maybe a rubber bushing, like a control arm bushing. Car is 22 years old now, so you could expect some worn suspension parts. Are your struts and coils in good shape? You might want to get under car or close to the noise while the wife sits on it and try to pinpoint the noise-front of wheel, back of wheel, behind...Good luck.

How to fix a driver side window of a honda accord 1999 that it went totally down and it doesn't come up just stay down and make an awful noise if you try to put it up again

just clean the rubber siding that hold the window glass, to much dirt makes the rubber hard and sometimes causes friction to its glass, replace it if necessary..... check also the gear for possible mis-alignment.

it sounds like the car is a front wheel drive??
then the noise will be the CV (CONSTANT VELOCITY) joints in the front end.
these drive the wheels from the transmission but are a big swivel joint that allows the axle to turn when you turn the wheels
these have ball bearings in them and are full of special grease
they are worn out when they make a very loud clicking noise (LOUDER WHEN YOU TURN A CORNER UNDER POWER)
THEY HAVE A RUBBER BOOT AROUND THEM THAT STOPS THE GREASE COMING OUT AND THE DIRT AND GRIME GETTING IN.
if the rubber boots become perished and crack the grease comes out and the dirt and water (rain) gets in

Its more then likely a wheel bearing. Try taking it down the highway and turning left and right erratically. Almost like a swerve. If you hear the noise I would put money down on the wheel bearing.

Steering wheel vibration and whine noise from rear of car

Yes, and it probably is your wheel bearing. Hearing a sound like a chain dragging is classic. You may also hear a clicking noise or chain dragging noise when turning to the left or right.

Look under the car and see if the rubber boots that surround the axle near the tires are cracked and leaking grease. If so, it is almost a certainty that the bearings are bad as you have lost grease and thus lubrication to the bearings.

Good luck,
bob
