Replaced Battery in 2003 Intrepid ES and CD player won't go off

I had to replace the battery in my '03 Dodge Intrepid ES and now my 6 CD changer is flashing the first three lights, then the last three, back and forth and won't stop. It won't play, unload or load although when I push the buttons it sounds like it wants to. It was perfect before this. I've heard that there is an anti-theft code to fix the problem. Where? What else might it be? Thank you so much. Rob

You need to call the dealer service department and ask they to give you the security code to enter into the radio. It is a security feature. You will need the vin number to give to them so they will be able to give you the correct code

My 2001 Intrepid seems to have a short (I think). The issue: The dash lights and shifter lights go off and on when i'm driving. i replaced the battery because it seemed to keep being drained.

t might be the dimmer switch next to the on off switch for the headlights or if you have a custom cd player or if someone has put a cd player in it recently it could be the wiring for that the wiring for the dash lights dimmer runs thru there

Cd changer wont read cd's in my 03 xc90 volvo

They make a cd player cleaner you can buy about any audio store , I would give that a shot first. Looks like a cd with small brushes on it. The laser is probably dirty.

When i try cd it keeps writing error.and reject every cd plates i insert.it was playing normal 2days ago.pls what do i do when error notice appear.the car is honda 2003 model coupe.thanx

Unfortunately 90% of the time when you get error codes from the CD player/changer it means that there is a mechanical failure in the CD player/changer unit itself and it usually requires CD player/changer rebuild or replacement...
First make sure you have entered the correct anti-theft code. If battery power has been disconnected recently than the stereo display will read CODE if the incorrect anti-theft code is entered the display will read ERR1 thru ERR3. If this is the case you'll have to get the correct anti-theft code. Note; If you enter the incorrect code three times the stereo locks up. Disconnect the battery for more than 30 seconds and then retry.
FYI;Never use adhesive labels or protective disc covers on recordable CD's. Recordable CD's are actually thicker than pre-recorded CD's. Automotive players and changers use rollers to draw the disc into the unit. The added thickness of an adhesive label or protective disc cover may cause the disc to jam. Also CD players and changers are exposed to high temperatures inside the vehicle. High temp will cause the labels adhesive to soften which may cause the labels edges to curl or cause it to bubble. Either one may cause the disc to jam. If the player can not be disassembled and have the discs removed successfully than it will have to be replaced. -hope this helps.

pull clock, radio, cd player, memory and backup cam (if equiped) to reset system. Some systems need to be recoded, not for sure about that system.

Battery died - replaced the battery yesterday but now the 6 disc changer will not operate - radio and clock work fine but it's like it does not even know there is a cd player in the car. every 30 seconds...

I take it the cartridge will not eject
If so press and HOLD eject button insert credit card or similar under cartridge push firmly in and move left/right
This locates micro release switch
Make sure nobody has inserted discs upside down

Can't drive without music

You may have inadvertently shorted some wires while replacing the battery. If all else seems to be OK then the culprit could be a blown fuse. Replace any blown fuses.
