2005 Impala jerks a lot

I have a 2005 Impala it jerks a lot? Thought it was because of bad gas, so I use only the best gas now, and use an octane booster, but it dos the same thing.

If you do have any water in the tank, it lies at the bottom below the pickup tube. It takea a very long time for any additives to remove it. Check your fuel filter...carefully remove it and pour contents into a glass jar and if there is water there it will form a layer at the bottom. If you find water the only sure way to remove it is to take the tank down and drain/clean it.
Changing the filter is a good maintenance thing to do so you loose nothing by checking it.

Best gas grade for 2005 buick lacrosse

87 Octane Regular unleaded, no high octane as it may cause cold starting issues and is a total 100% waste of money. Also all fuel is really the same, no matter the cost of the brand. This is mandated by federal emission laws, it is so called clean burning fuel formulation

Car lags and jerks at 3000 RPM

Have the fault codes read. Replace faulty items. Use only genuine items as replacement as non-genuine are not always compatible with the OEM fitted CPU units. This results in the fault codes not cancelling out You may need to have the cpu reset using a code reader tool from disconnecting the battery.

My 2005 chevy impala started jerking and then it wouldnt chnage gears unless i press the gas all the way to the floor is it the transmission?

no on 05 chevy the transmisson shift is control by vacume look for a vacume line that is dry rooted or has come off start at the engine first then work the way down to the transmisson. a line off or dry rotted any where in the syastem will give you a hard shift sometiimes like a hard jerking motion when
shifting.

What is the best gas for a 1995 impala ss

Here is a question that nobody ever thinks of and thank you for asking it. The thing is we have constructed cars to take a low octane fuel so we can consume more for a cheaper price. Low grade gas is good don't get me wrong but the lower you go the more carbon build up you get in your injectors. The reason why I say this is because of the octane level being so low it wont get hot enough to burn off properly. This leads to fuel systems malfunction. Going with a mid-grade is never a bad choice for your vehicle. Hope this helps and please don't forget to rate me!

I have a 05 nissan sentra and it rides great, but the gas mileage is terrible only getting approximately 18-20 mpg. What may be the problem. I upgraded the gas octane.

you need to change the spark plugs and wires to properly burn the gas fully then you can just get agood oil change and you would get better gas mileage

What type of gas should i use in my 1997 dodge ram. 3.9L engine

Your owners manual should specify this, as well as the under hood sticker, and sometimes the gas fill has a label.

You want to use the LOWEST that you can, as lower octane is more explosive than higher... (reverse of what you thought...). Higher octane RESISTS detonation, by lower volitility.

Vehicles now days automatically adjust timing, EGR and other settings when detonation is detected, so probably you would notice nothing across several octane levels.

Lowest octane will deliver the best performance and mileage...
