Check power steering pump ,tensioner pulley, altenator pulley ,and serpentine belt, all of the above especially power steering pump will cause the whining and loss of power steering, could be as simple as low power steering fluid level......and the sloppy front end could be because of worn front end parts such as, tie rods, ball joints, a-arm bushings, pitman arm, idler arm, sway bar links, also check steering gear box...and check hub assemblys, or bearings... hope this helps. peace.

I sounds like your power steering pump may be going out or low on fluid.

SOURCE: when making a left turn,

OK, you're looking at a CV Joint or Halfshaft that connects to the wheel in question.

2000 Chevy Blazer 4x4...started making a horrible loud noise after my cruise control went out. I have recently replaced my hub and the brake pads and the CV axle. The noise comes and goes and only happens...

does it get louder above 45-60mph? and much quieter at low speeds. It could be wheel bearings, a rear differential or front differential. If its a grinding humming noise its wheel bearings, listenin to see if theyre coming from the front or rear, left or right, or both when your driving to know what wheel bearing are bad. If its a whinning noise, its probably a differential. check and listen to hear if its coming from the front or rear. Also, check for loose plastic around the wheels. Lastly check your tires for uneven or choppy wear. move your hands front to back on the top of the tire. does it feel really choppy and rough, maybe you just need new tires

I have a 2006 Chevy silverado, when it's in 4 wheel drive I get a squealing noise from the front end when I get it up to about 40 MPH.

you need a might new hub internal bearing wiped out the seal goes and grease escapes and then bearing goes check for oil around both left and right hubs or check axle oil level and oil around housing

Rubbing/grinding noise

Usually the strut bearing will make this noise upon turning a corner and hitting a rut or pot hole when turning. A wheel bearing will make a low pitched whinning sound constantly

1999 chevrolet silverado 1500 4.3L long box

it is almost impossible to solve without hearing it in person, but some things to check are the front brakes, front wheel bearings, tires, and loose suspension parts.
