Question about 1994 Toyota Corolla
Lift the trunk lid. There should be two screws holding in the tailight assembly. Remove them. Assembly should pull out with some force. If it doesnt pull back on your trunk carpet behind the light assembly and there will be a skinny stud poking through. Hit it wit a rubber mallet.

The clips are cheap looking plastic correct?before you remove them goto a parts store and see if you can buy new ones.if not have them look at it to find something similar.they are cheap plastic and need to be pryed off in most cases and will break.try to be careful.
