Also you should check the brake fluid level, too low and they wont work. I just had that problem and the fluid was too low.

Tail lights work but not brake lights 93 toyota camry

The brake light side of the bulbs is powered by the brake switch and travels thru the turn signal switch.
If the third brake light works, I would guess the problem is in the turn signal switch.

Left rear brake light stopped working but bulb and fuses are OK.

These are Dual Function Bulbs. They control the Parking Lights and the Brake Lights. This Bulb is Burnt out on the Brake Coil inside the Bulb. I have actually seen Bulbs that were Bad But you could not Tell by jast looking at them. It should be fine with a New Bulb. Please Rate My Response! Thanks!

Stop lights not working

Well, if the fuse and bulbs are still good, and you're getting all of the rest of your lights to come on, chances are your brake light switch is bad. They're most always located at the very top of the brake pedal. Sometimes it's necessary to remove the lower portion of your dash cover to access it, but once you gain access, you can check it by putting a voltage meter on the wires going to it and pressing down on the brake pedal while reading the meter. That way, if it's not bad, you don't actually have to remove it. If you don't get voltage when applying pressure to the brake pedal however, you can count on having to replace it, which should be rather inexpensive at your local parts store. Hope this sheds some (brake) light on your problem. Have a great evening!

Brake-light / side-light electrical problem

follow the light my son..stay away from the switches and relays...your solution lies in the powers/grounds at the chassis /bulb areas...the grounded power to the front bulb is causing brakes to go on..(they are ground actuated )....so you are closer than ever to solving this ..go back to each location making sure that they are clean , grounding to chassis and getting power... the gremlin will go away when ALL are power/ground happy
