92 Honda Accord EX running hot. Registers hot on Temp gage, runs great though. No Head leaks or problems. Got really hot on Sat and leaked out from bottom of Radiator then stopped after being parked for 10 mins. T-belt and W-pump has been change 3 yrs. ago. Thinking Thermostat, but don't know where to find it. Need help.... Thanks, Brenda

Try following the lower radiator hose to the engine, not the upper one., the upper one runs to the cylinder head right in front. that is not where the thermostat is it is on the side by the distributor.

Most of the time it is where the outlet radiator hose attaches to the engine.

I AM SORRY TO INFORM YOU THAT YOU AND YOUR BOYFRIEND ARE INCORRECT ON WHERE YOUR ASSUPTIONS OF THE THERMOSTAT HOUSING, I HAVE ALREADY INFORMED YOU OF THE LOCATION, I WORK AT A JUNK YARD, I PERSONALLY JUST WALKED OUT INTO MY YARD AND LOOKED AT 92 ACCORD EX, AND YES THE THERMOSTAT IS JUST WHERE I TOLD YOU FOLLOW THE UPPER RADIATOR HOSE TO WHERE IT MOUNTS ONTO THE ENGINE, THAT IS YOUR THERMOSTAT HOUSING.

Car runs hot when driven but fine while idling. Replaced radiator, hoses, thermostat

You would probably be better off replacing the belt and pump again since the labor would be next to nothing.
I would want to test the cooling system for exhaust gas and try to verify the head gasket is actually leaking next.
Are you loosing coolant into the cylinders ? There may be something else causing the engine to run hot such as exhaust problems.

1991 Accord: I have a 1991 honda accord ex and after the hoses ...

You may have a cracked head, block or blown head gasket that is leaking combustion gas into the cooling system. If you dont have a combution leak detector kit you can take it to a trusted mechanic tell them the problems you've had and the parts you've replaced. Ask them to check for a combustion leak in the cooling system. A minor combustion leak in the cooling system can sometimes mimic the symptoms of overheating.

I have a 1995 v4 auto. honda accord. It runs hot

With overheating problems, yes. Even if it doesn't fix the problem, the thermostat could be damaged by high temperatures.

If it doesn't fix it, check and make sure the electronic fans operate properly; the relays that operate them tend to fail due to age.

My honda accord wagon smells hot i stop running car, ther,s no leaks do i need a termostat?

You may have a bad thermostat or a weak water pump or a clogged radiator. Smell does not indicate if its hot. The gauge or coolant light might suggest its getting hot. You may have a fuel control issue that is overheating the catalytic converter which would smell or an oil leak that is dripping onto a hot surface causing a smell. You may have a real small coolant leak that you cant see that could cause this also.

Hard to start in hot weather

Start looking at temperature sensors and maybe even the thermostat.

Top radiator hose is HOT, radiator is steaming

have u replaced the radiator and hoses? Thermostat could also be stuck open. Water pump could also be your issue. with motor cool and of remove radiator cap(cap may be bad as well) top-off fluid and start car check for fluid flow with flashlight. Water pumps typically leak from what is called a weep hole when the shaft seal fails. Yours will be located under the timing cover (drivers side) running of the timing belt.
Hit me up after u have check on these.
