Question about 2001 Toyota Avalon
I can start the vehicle and it will continue to run as long as I keep my
foot on the accelerator. As soon it goes to idle it quits immediately.
I had a similar problem like this before and the vehicle repair shop
cleaned a part in the fuel injection system. ( I believe it was a flap
sticking) It's been running good for 4-6 months and just started this
without any warning. Thanks for any advice.
Just had the same problem on the 2002 Avalon. Pulled the throttle body off and removed and cleaned the Idle mixture control valve which was caked in deposits. Runs like new now. About 2 hours of work or less. Common problem with this model I heard. Hope this helps. Some one gave me this info over a year ago and I finally got around to doing it.
