Question about 1996 Oldsmobile Bravada
My '98 Olds Bravada has a relay switch for the turn signal under the glove box that steadily clicks with the car ignition 'on' or when driving. When I apply the brakes it stops and sometimes goes into a frenzied relay clicking. I have wiring set up for tow. Nothing else (including turn signals and brakes) seems to be malfunctioning. Any ideas?
The turn signal/wiper control arm may have gone bad. Auto Zone has them cheaper then the Dealer or you can go to the Salvage yard and pick one up for around $35.00 to $50.00, just call around to see which is the best price. Some will even be as low as $10.00 if you remove it your self from a truck and there is also a 90 day warranty.
The neat thing is that you can take one apart from a Salvage yard and find out what not to break from your truck when working on it. If you feel that it is the signal relay, your going to have to drop the panel under the drivers side to get to the relay on the driver side behind the cigarette lighter.
Good luck and hope this helps.
