Your radiator fan is switch on by the coolant or the engine coolant temperature sensors. you need to unplug your coolant temperature sensor and bypass the sensor task to make the fan turn on. just to make sure the fan is working. your van problem is mostly sensors failure.

Yes, the engine gets hot and has a shut off to protect it from overheating to badly. Repair the fan and see if the problem is corrected. If not please let me know. Thanks

1992 Plymouth Grand Voyager won't start, fuel pump runs for about 1/2 second when you turn on the key

The power control module sends signal to the fuel pump relay, it gets it's signal from the pick up coil in the distributor and the crankshaft position sensor. I'm having the same issues with my 94 Jeep Wrangler

It has happened twice, once when the wether was hot and once when it was cool. when I stoped it would not idle, but would start right back up but still not idle. I let it set for some time and then it runs...

Is this the only time your car would abruptly shut off? It is a similar problem to intermitant shut offs usually caused by corroded battery terminals, a clogged fuel filer, bad map sensor, or a dirty O2 sensor, likewise you could have dirty spark plugs, or a failing fuel pump (in that order)

Sounds like the ECM is bad. This is a common problem, when the ECM gets hot there is a solder joint that seperates, it makes contact again once it cools down

1996 Plymouth Voyager dies after driving 20 miles

Hi I am Vortash i suggest that you spray all your electrical connections plugs etc with a switch cleaner fluid .. Not wd40 .. but an actual electrical contact cleaner . Check your Battery Earth connections and battery terminals and all fuses and relays spray with the cleaner also . Check the engine to body earth strap and your main ECU plug .. hope this helps regards Vortash

Over heating

It is very likely that the thermostat is stuck closed. This will prevent the coolant from circulating through the radiator.

It is also possible that your radiator fan is not coming on.

If you need more help, post a comment and I will reply again.
