What kind of Battery does it Need?

I have a 1989 Cadillac Deville and I need a new battery, but I don't know what kind to get. Can you help me?

You can buy a battery at an autoparts store or even some department stores which feature autorepair (walmart,sears) or even some shopping clubs (BJ's). Batteries become more expensive as you go from 48 months to 60-72 months and so on.

Look for a battery which has at least 800 cold cranking amps. Wherever you buy the battery will have a catalog to ensure the new battery fits your car. Take a quick look under the hood to see where the battery posts are positioned. i.e. POS right front, POS left front, POS left back This will make things easier when installing the new battery. You most likely will need dealer help on this, these older TPMS are not easy to calibrate, it requires a scanner. Next time you need to disconnect the battery use a small charger so the system remains powered up and you don't experience this kind of lost data problem

in case you didnt know there are five horns i to have a 98 deville delegance 2 are under car 1 next to the battery I honestly cant remember where the other 1s are but wen you look at the 1 by the battery look 4 4 more of those its probably a fuse or relay if they all stopped working at once. hope help.

i have a 1989 cadillac deville 2 door front wheel drive i just changed the fuel filter in it and i pour fuel injection cleaner in the gas tank. when i pour gas in the carberator it gives a little start to the car and it started the car but it wont stay on. i just bought a new battery for it but i havent tried it out yet just because the positive wire going to the battery was bad so i cut the wire and gonna put a new wire for it do you have any suggestions what is wrong with it. it has been sitting for a couple years.......and it does start it just turns over......

Disconnect battery negative cable from battery and touch it to the positive sidefor a second and hook it back up , this may reset the bcm.
