Without trying to sound like a commercial, take it to Sears. They will hook up a tester to your car and tell you what's wrong with it for free. It could be something as simple as corrosion or a bad cable.

Battery wont jump start

possible but my money is on a bad battery. have a load test done on the battery. I suspect that the over heating problem is not completely fixed as water pumps will still pump water as long as they can be turned . Probably all that was done was to tighten the drive belt . Unless the pump seal was worn out and you were loosing coolant.. Clicking noise when trying to start is bad connection or dead battery.

Car won't start without a jump but battery okay

wont crank or wont start.??
no car starts , if it cant crank. (unless push starter (M/T magic)
that is not a trans sensor its the PRN switch.
ill answer for, wont CRANK !
it wont crank even with a good battery (charged) or jump started.
1: bad start
2: bad wires to same.
so hot wire the starter small wire, the key start line is tiny.
cranks. , starter good, no crank starter bad or cables bad.
if it cranks hot wired, then the key line is dead.
easy, huh?

Car wont start, lights and radio turn on, not able to drive

turn on headlites and windshield wipers do they work? if they do then the battery is not the problem,,unless you been trying to start it a lot and drained down the battery..get a jump from someone AAA. if the car makes a clicking noise when you try and start it then the battery is drained . if you get a jump and it still wont start then the starter is bad... rap on the solenoid on top of the starter, with a piece of wood, while someone tries to start it, and usually i"ll start one time for you, don't shut it off or you'll be stranded again.

1993 mazda navajo will not start, all i get is click click i have a new battery and have checked all cables

With my 93 Navajo I have experienced:
  • Dirty connection(s)
  • Starter solenoid
  • Positive cable - hidden corrosion inside cable jacket
  • Negative cable
And always test the battery, even if relatively new.

Try a freshly charged new battery. Or swap with a friends battery to see if it starts with theirs. If it does also check voltage across your battery to see if your alternaters chargeing the battery between 12-14 volts.

Wont start unless jump from starter

Check the safety switch on trans to see if the power is getting to it for the start circuit. If this switch gets old and worn it will drop the voltage so much that it wont start. If it does have voltage then check the wiring to the solenoid for voltage from the battery. The solenoid wire is easy to remove and test with test ligt and a second set of eyes to watch the light when you turn switch

make sure that every thing is turned off pop the hood get out and shut the door raise the hood and unplug the hood light, then disconnect the battery,
if you get an arc, then you have a short, probly the hot wire leading from the battery too the starter laying up against the manifold!!!!!
