Did you bleed all the air out of the cooling system after you put all the coolant in?
Some cars may not start, because the computer thinks there's no coolant in the engine.
Hope this helps.

Just replaced Master Brake Cylinder on 05 Rio. Have plenty of brake pressure when engine is off but none when the engine is on

Still have air in the system. May need to have them bled at a shop that can use a bi-directional scanner to bleed the ABS electronically. First try bleeding them manually starting at the right rear and working your way closer to the master cylinder (RR, LR, RF, LF). Be sure to bleed each wheel until you get fresh clean fluid and be sure to keep the reservoir full during the process.12_24_2012_5_28_23_pm.png

Where the knock sensor on a 05 kia rio

I'm going by memory from when I replaced mine but I think it's on the firewall side of the engine, I had to remove the air cleaner assembly and reach down and feel for it, it's just a round metal loop with the mounting bolt going right through the center of it. I think it's down near the throttle body end of the head (I think).

Kia rio 02 died while driving down highway

The battery is only use to start the car, once the car is moving the alternator takes over and charges the battery. I sounds like the alternator is bad. You take the alternator to Napa, Auto Zone or Advance auto part and have them check it for you.

Kia Rio revs, won't go in any gear

your post is 1 year old. i started helping others 1 week ago. as a fellow rio owner im here to help there are currentl over 5000 un answered posts. if you still need help re-post your problems .its free to get your check engine light checked at most auto parts stores . write down the codes and meanings. 03 kia rio's are blue booked at about $500.
if you re-post with a code you can get faster help. if your car dont have a code . its hunt and guess . my guess would be throtle position sensor, knock sensor or mass air flow

Kia rio 2001 thermostat

Fallow the "UPPER" Radiator Hose from the Radiator to the Engine Cylinder Head, The Thermostat Housing is the Unit that the UPPER Radiator Hose Connects to. Theres is 1 BOLT (TOP) & 1 NUT (BOTTOM) that you Remove to Gain Access to the Thermostat itself. Hoping this Helps you out There . Have A Great Day.
