2005 Pontiac Sunfire is missing and lack the power (it wants to gain power but powers down (jumps)

My 2005 PONTIAC+SUNFIRE+is missing+lack+power the car wants to pick up power but drops down in power (jumps down)

I suspect you needto relace your coil pack. You are probably not running on all 4. the engine will run but only on 2 cylinders.
If missing replace coil pack. they go regularily on the 03/05 F style engines. You should be able to locate a good used one at a wreckers.

2005 Pontiac Sunfire misfiring, check engine light flashing, no power upon acceleration


To clarify what you said, the code is probably for a cylinder miss but the problem may not be ignition as you have found out.
The code means the computer has seen a drop in RPM for one or more cylinders, but not why.
In addition to the ignition system, it could be a fuel injector or compression problem.

Check the wire leading to the Ignition module for continuity first of all. If you have power to it the gage is bad
