    a relay having moveable contact and a COIL, the moveable contact being disposed between a battery and the auxiliary lamp;an OR GATE having three diodes with their cathode leads all tied together and connected to the COIL of said relay, said diodes anode leads are each connected separately to a brake signal switch, a left turn signal switch and a right turn signal switch, whereby when the brake signal switch, the left turn signal switch or the right turn signal switch is activated, it will energize its respective bulb and forward bias said respective diode in which current will flow through the coil of said relay from the battery closing the moveable contact in which current will flow through the auxiliary lamp from the battery, making the auxiliary lamp light up;
in this system the brake pedal gives command to brake signal switch and brake signal switch is connected to relay.
this is the connection system.so wiring in the steering wheel. needs replacement to solve the issue.
    thanks.
    please do rate the solution.

My96 olds. Bravada blinkers wont work, when i turn on either blinker all 3 brake lights in back blink on and off (like emergencey flashers are on)I replaced both flashers andhave no burned out bulbs

You are going to have to register on BBB INDUSTRIES
FREE Documentation site...

because... These are REAL GM drawings &
Technical Service Bulletins... (TSBs).

Get onto your SIGNAL/BRAKE Schematic Drawing
and figure out where your "SHORT" (cross-over) is
happening...

This is where the REAL technicians use tone tracers...
and open circuits to halves (50, 50) to isolate FAULTED CIRCUITS.

If you don't "open" the circuits... the tone will travel
everywhere... or no where.

No brake, turn signal, or flashers at rear of 2006 chevy express 2500

Sounds like a bad turn signal switch. I bet if you wiggle the turn signal lever while you have your foot on the brake pedal the left and right brake lights ill intermittently work.

Have a 96 Olds Cutlass Supreme, brake lights will not work. We've replaced bulbs, fuses and brake light switch and still nothing. Help!

Try having someone push on brake pedal at the same time thay move the turn signal lever up and down slightly to see if your brake lights work this would tell me that you have a faulty turn signal switch because GM runs the brake lights thru the turn signal switch so they work if you are driving with your 4way flashers on.

I have a 2000 Pontiac Montana and when I step on the brake pedal with the lights on or when I put it into reverse both turn signals indicator on the dash light up. Also with the light on the left turn...

Sounds like your hazard switch is going bad. There were a few years where the switches for the hazard lights would go bad, and since they overlap two systems; the brake lights, and the turn signals/flashers, it would cause all sorts of crazy things to happen. Because of the circuit overlap, normally if you step on the brakes while the warning flashers are on, the flashers stop working. You'll have to replace the switch for the 4-way flashers, and it should fix you right up. Don't go to GM for this, as they'll sell you the same known defective switch. Go to some place like Rockauto.com, or autozone, etc and get an aftermarket switch that has had this problem addressed in its design.

Turn signal keeps clicking until I step on the brakes

The turn signal/wiper control arm may have gone bad. Auto Zone has them cheaper then the Dealer or you can go to the Salvage yard and pick one up for around $35.00 to $50.00, just call around to see which is the best price. Some will even be as low as $10.00 if you remove it your self from a truck and there is also a 90 day warranty.
The neat thing is that you can take one apart from a Salvage yard and find out what not to break from your truck when working on it. If you feel that it is the signal relay, your going to have to drop the panel under the drivers side to get to the relay on the driver side behind the cigarette lighter.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Left turn signal stops flashing when brake pedal is depressed.

there is a ground problem, most likely in the tail unit itself, but a ground problem is hard to find and easy to fix. reground the system, the turning unit, and the problem should stop. About the hazards, I don't know...... some times in older cars, that is the way it works. because the brake and hazard element in the bulb is the same and the old cars used a break in the power, but the new cars use a break in the ground. any way, chase the ground down first, it is usually the cause.
