check that latch is releasing when using remote. remote uses a cable to pull latch and cable may need to be lubed causing the latch to stick open. Let me guess if you slam a couple times it will latch, lube the actuator cable and latch well. hope this helps

Locked my keys in trunk with remote. Trunk release button inside vehicle not working. Want to check the fuse box to see if inserting a fuse will resolve this problem. Pls. Advise Thank you. 2000...

If your olds is anything like my 1993 Ford Thunderbird the glove box switch only works with the key on. To get the keys out of my trunk, also locked in with the remote, I had to remove the back seat.

Have the remote for lock & unlock But the thing locks w/o touching remote. When driving, when parked, etc. it just locks by itself.

hi there
there may be a few things here
1. there may be a sensor on the drivers dor that thinks that it has been locked so it locks all the doors. this happens after a few years my sisters carnival dose the same
the locking motor witch has the sensor in it may need to be replaced
2. in australia 2004 hyundai came out with a featur called "halo"
it was designd to stop perole hijacking cars the doors would lock them selfs after the car was started and incase or accedent the doors would unlock
this may be a feature or a fult due to age
either way its not expencive
hope this helps

Cant open trunck

if your seats lay down in the back there should be a cable to pull to open the trunk and check you fuses that maybe the reason its not working with the button.

My Boxter battery is dead and I am not able open the trunk lid.

I have had this occur before. After I called AAA they showed me what I was doing wrong. The diagram in the book dose not show the correct place to ground the cable. It shows that you should attach to a door latch near the rear of the car. Acutally, you need to ground the cable by attaching to the door hinge. Hope that helps.
