Door panels are easy, first remove all of the screws, some will be hidden under plugs on the door handle. Using a door panel tool (about $5.00 at a parts store) work it around the panel and pop the plastic keepers out. Done.

Try not to tear into the plastic moisture barrier once the panel is removed, try to peel back the plastic from the adhesive instead and it should still be reusable..if parts are torn, its ok to tape it up with tape to keep out the water and damaging the backside of the panel. also once you are in the door cavity..its good practice to clear any drain holes in the door cavity.

I have a 1998 saturn SL2. im trying to change the front speakers but the door panel is not coming off. how do you remove the door panel to get to the speakers?

remove the little cosmetic piece of the mirror inside the car, remove the door pull, remove the opener lever disconnecting the snaps holding the mechanism to the rods. get a tool and go around the edges and bottom loosening the snaps. open the window and lift the door panel up and out. replace the speakers. put the panel back on in reverse order. install the pull and the cosmetic piece. go get drunk. wake up the next day and with a set of needle nose pliers attempt to hook those snaps back onto the rods and reinstall the opener lever mechanism.

How do I remove the speaker cover on the front doors of a 96 corolla? The cover is part of the door handle and storage box. I don't see any screws to remove.

Generally speaker covers are snapped in with spring clips to hold them in place. Using a screwdriver or something to pry with - Put a rag or roll of paper under the screwdriver and gently try to pop off the cover. I suggest prying from the bottom so and scratched won't be visible. To reinstall - just press it back into place. If it is the kind that just has holes drilled through the panel it will not come off.
