Replace battery with a good charged on and test the alternator. Advance Auto will test the alt free. Just drive the car there with the new battery during the day.

good day.. well thats the problem on vehicles that runs on too much sensor, just a little trip it wont let you go but after you force it, it will be just fine. its just a warning light and it shuts off after means you are still doin good but if it wont shut then there really might a bigger problem. hope this helps, have a nice day

The ignition key cylinder and ignition switch are two different parts. Which one did you change? Your problem is the ignition switch not the key cylinder if that's what you changed.
