The tach uses the same fuse as the other gauges, so if the other gauges have no problem then the tach is defective, Ford does not really repair these we just replace them.

2005 ford mustang,s fuel tank and speedometer gages stop working opinion or solution?

This would most likly be a gage cluster problem or moer likly a ground problem if the prblem is coming and going then you might want to start checking the wire connections first, if this were to role into my shop that is what i would start with before tearing anything out... try wiggling the wires at there connections one at a time and see fi the gage fails or comes back. If you attempt this DO NOT TOUCH THE bright yellow wires. This is your air bag system and you can cause them to go off if you mess with them. This could cause serious injury or death, yes death. they come out at outraguose speeds and when sitting still its lie a truck hits you(so dont touch them). If you need further assistance let me know I could look up a wiring scematic for you and let you know what colors are what under there and narrow the problem down a bit.

The button on the side of the gear shifter will not go in to change from park to reverse. \r\n2005 Ford Mustang

check your stop light working or not, if not check fuse and the stop light switch, if all ok, check the reverse lock-out solenoid, check out your owners manual to lock out manually

Shift knob

It should just screw off. My 2002 Saleen had a universal MOMO shifter than damaged the threads of the shifter, I hope thats not how yours is.
