Had the fuel pump replaced last year. Car dies in the afternoon but not first thing in the morning. The car also has died while being driven.

You could have a dirty fuel filter and needs to be replaced, Best thing to do is to retrieve the DTC codes from the ECM to find out why it stalled.
You can go to Auto Zone where thay can scan your EMC for free and clear any codes, If there is no Auto Zone close to you and you are willing to retrieve the codes your self, here is a link on the instructions to retrieving the codes and clearing them.

Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help you out.

How do you reprogram key fob for 94 jeep g.c. 4.0 liter ?

I think your fuel pump MAY be failing, Luther. It may also be stopping because it thinks it's pressurized the fuel enough, though. Have someone check the fuel pressure and flow rate at the fuel rail with the appropriate gauge.

If your "Check Engine" light is on, also have someone get the error codes from your Jeep's computer with an first generation OBD scan tool - there may be another issue totally unrelated to the fuel pump.

You do understand that a '94 is really getting pretty old, right? After twenty years, it owes nobody anything. The Jeep's computer may be borderline dying... and you may not be able to get another GOOD computer to replace it. After twenty years, even new-old-stock computers off the shelf are pretty unlikely to work. Your Jeep may have driven its last miles - it's sad, but they DO have a much more finite life than the older (pre-1987) vehicles.

Why does my 94 buick stops running for no reason, acts like it is running out of gas

Could be anything electrical. A weak relay, the coil pack or ignition module, and so on.
You'll need to figure out what is loosing electrical power when it fails to start to know what to test. You might start with the fuel pump relay.

How would I no when to replace my fuel pump

If your car stops running like out of gas or fuel it might be time. Fuel pump doesn't give any warning it just goes without warning. Now this depends on your car and year. Electric or mechanical.

possible failed fuel pump from running dry in the tank. The plastic gears are very fine and without fuel to lubricate them they fail on a regular basis To rely on a low fuel light is asking for trouble from a number of sources in the car.

The first thing I would do is replace the fuel filter. This is fairly easy and inexpensive and will eliminate that as your problem. It also is most likely over due to be changed anyway. After that I would of course check for any codes and then check the fuel system pressure. This will diagnose any problems with the fuel pump.
