Most of the time you can simply remove the tail light assembly from the car pretty easy and just a few screws. If it sdoes not have the screws going through the front of the housing then its rear mount and must be done by lifting the tailgate to get access. Once in the vehicle you should beable to remove the plastic housing covering up the assembly from the inside. Remove the 3-4 screws or bolts and the tail light assembly. Install the new one just the reverse. Pretty easy just take your time.

03 Chevy Trailblazer left rear taillight will not work. Brake light, back up light & turn signal all work. Right rear all work. Replaced bulbs, switched sides, still nothing.

There was a recall on this, see your local Chevrolet dealer.... Recall Date: NOV 01, 2004 Model Affected: 2003 Chevrolet Trailblazer Summary: ON CERTAIN SPORT UTILITY VEHICLES, VIBRATION AND HEAT MAY CAUSE THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP BULB TO LOOSEN IN ITS SOCKET. IF THIS OCCURS, THE BULB MAY FLICKER AND EVENTUALLY BECOME INOPERATIVE. Consequences: AN INOPERATIVE BRAKE LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION OF STOPPING TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES, AND AN INOPERATIVE REAR TURN SIGNAL LAMP WILL NOT CONVEY THE DRIVER'S INTENTION TO TURN TO DRIVERS IN FOLLOWING VEHICLES. BOTH OF THESE FAILURES CAN INCREASE THE RISK OF A CRASH. Remedy: DEALERS WILL INSPECT THE TAIL LAMP/STOP LAMP ASSEMBLIES, AND IF NECESSARY, REPLACE THEM. THE RECALL BEGAN ON NOVEMBER 22, 2004. OWNERS SHOULD CONTACT CHEVROLET AT 1-800-630-2438, OLDSMOBILE AT 1-800-630-6537, BUICK AT 1-866-608-8080, OR GMC AT 1-866-996-9463. Potential Units Affected: 871473 Notes: GENERAL MOTORS CORP. My 2003 Chevy Trailblazer drivers side door got wet from rain. Now the window switches wont work on driver door but everything else will. How do I fix this?

First check fuse #10 in the rear fuse panel, if fuse is OK, the Driver's Door Module (DDM) is probably bad due to water intrusion. You could try swapping in the module form the passenger side to verify.

Break Light on Passenger Side not working. The running lights all work Fine. All the Blinkers work fine. It is just a break light on passenger side. I bought a new bulb thinking I could not see the broken...

Over time corrosion can accumulated and rust out a tail light socket and render it non-functioning. Yes it can be replaced and in your case for about $6.00. You can find these at most any auto parts store.

You need to replace the driver side temperature door control actuator. While doing this... make sure you bolt the new one in AND THEN PLUG IT IN or it will spin and not line up in the right place... then there is a series of crazy steps to fix that problem.

2006 Chevy Trailblazer Rear Tail Light

Yes there was a recall on the brake lights, but I don't believe 06+ was included. NHTSA Campaign Number: 04V527000
Manufacturer GENERAL MOTORS CORP.
Components EXTERIOR LIGHTING
Potential Number of Units Affected 871,473

My 03 was included and fixed, but my 06 is not. Hope that clarify's. More than likely it's the same darn problem, kind of like the master door switch recall (melting). Not all years were included in the recall, BUT ALL years suffer from this problem. Maybe have them check the problem that the 03's were having.
