Question about 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee
The RPM gauge in my 01 Grand Cherokee with the 4.7L will jump 200-300 RPM while driving down the road with cruise on. It will do this regardless of going up a hill or driving on a road with no elevation change. Most recently, it starts to stutter when going up small hills and comes out of it when the overdrive kicks in. Any help or ideas would be greatly appreciated.
it sounds like the TPS (throttle position sensor) is acting up. To test it grab onto it and push it around, if the rpm's change while you are doing that it is the problem. It is located on the side of the throttle body.
