You can refill the transmission fluid through the dip stick tube. Just use a small funnel and take your time not to over fill.
Good luck and hope this helps.

Your right, your car did not come with a dipstick. You will need Miller Special Tool 9336 and a STARSCAN scan tool to scan for and DTC codes as the the transmission's performance (only your dealer will have these.) Or a good transmission shop.

Look at the back passenger side of your engine. Black tube with a cap/plug that says Dealer use only. That's your trans tube.

Forgot you have a LX body vehical and all LX bodied vehical do not have transmission dip stick.

If your having transmission problem like slipping or shifting problems. Take it to the dealer before your warranty runs out, You never know, the twins may make them work faster LOL. Good luck mommy of twins.

I have 2006 dodge charger 3.5 sxt the transmission some times wont shift to any gear whil iam driving and after few secondes it works fine why is that?

This likely caused by either a poor connection in the wiring harness to the transmission (this trans is shifted by a computer) or a defective Transmission Control Module.

I just bought a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T, with a HEMI. I'm wondering if someone can tell me which maintenance things I should have taken care of (without trying to sell me unneccesary or un-needed costs. I'm...

I would recommend spark plugs every 30K, Trans. fluid and filter change every 60K, Brake fluid flush every 100K. I usually only flush the power steering fluid if yhere has been a component failure causing fluid contamination. Coolant should be flushed every 5 years or 100K, and rear differential fluid changed every 30K. I have several of these cars come in my shop with 200-300K miles. They can be very reliable if maintained properly.

How many litres of transmission fluid does a 2006 Dodge Charger R/T (5.7L V8) contain to be considered the proper amount of transmission fluid? Ex. The 2006 Dodge Charger R/T should take 6.7 litres of oil...

I don't know the exact liters, but if you are just changing the filter it would be 5 qts, maybe 5 liters. And if you are in a total rebuild, it would be 15 qts, or say 15 liters, We don't work with liters over here. I know your 5.7 liter engine is about 340 cubic inches. A quart is real close to a liter, 3.8 liters = 4 qts. If your tranny doesn't have a dipstick, it has 2 plugs on the right side of the tranny, one for level, one for fill, If you pull the level and nothing seeps out, fill it up, till it seeps out the bottom, then put the plugs back in. The tranny will drip for a month if you let it, so when you change the filter, you never really know how much dripped out, exactly, you could measure what came out, but what if it was low to start? Check it out, hope this helps.

How to check the transmission fluid on a 2006 rt charger

You can't, it's sealed. It must be taken to a dealer who will use a special tool to check. This is the only thing I don't like about the car

My 2006 dodge charger has been shifting hard ever since i got the transmission fluid changed. it shifts hard at 15,40,60 mph. why is this and how can I fix it

What you need to do is find out if the correct fluid was used. Call the shop that did it. Even if they said the correct fluid was used they may not know for sure. They maybe just covering their a$$'

You may need to get it serviced again to be sure.
