You would have to remove the MIU and remove the ABS illum. bulb. Would be easier to just replace whatever bad Wheel speed sensor you have causing the problem. If the ABS light is on then there certainly a code (you retrieve it using a scan tool) telling you what is causing the problem.

Abs light stays on what's the solution .

The corroded brake pipe should have been replaced as per the advisory. It is for your own safety, the safety of your passengers and the safety of other road users that you maintain your car to at least the minimum standard. Having said that, generally speaking, the corroded brake pipe will not cause the abs light to come on. When the car is booked for brake pipe replacement I suggest you ask them to do a fault code check on the abs. Save any guessing.

I need to remove the abs light in my 1992 bmw 520i. ABS works fine, however in order to pass inspection, the light will not go out. I am tired of spending money and getting no where to fix the problem....

for the m.ot the light has to be on then go out. i cant see why this cant be fixed, it must not be working. what i have seen to blag a mot is, a wire from the oil pressure switch to the abs light, when off on and running out, this works but leaves the car no abs, you sure not a sensor or the brain died

Disabling faulty abs breaks. Will car still pass mot?

If there is only one sensor faulty you should be able to replace that one.If for any reason one abs wheel sensor cannot connect to the abs system reader it stopes working. It means your brakes working just as fine but the Anti Block System is not functioning anymore.Your car will certainly pass the mot without ABS.

Got a 98 honda civic 1.5LS and the abs light is on so it has faild its mot. Will it be expensive to fix and would it be best to take it to a honda dealer

It's cheap to fix.Look for a program called digimotolite and a cable called elm327 on ebay. Will cost you less than £10 and once connected you can erase this fault.Hence your mot passed. Please rate this solution.

I have a 1997 Dodge Dakota who ABS light and Brake

when brake light is constantly on it normally means the rear brake light dont work (bulb blown) ABS normally means sensors pushed too far or teeth on abs cv axle could be damaged or bent. check that first.

Lambda probe fault possibly

I bought a 2000 polo 1.4 yesterday after having an MOT. The warning lamp came on today but the car is running fine. Whether its the Lambda sensor or just the light itself is a common fault, I think garages turn off the lights to get it through the MOT then they come on again in a day or two!
