Question about 2005 Nissan Altima
I need a replacement valet key for my 2005 Nissan Altima.
You HAVE to get it from a nissan dealer.the valet key has a tooth cut that is different,so that is does open the trunk or glovebox and there is a lockout switch in the glovebox.
but there is a chip in the key and the car will not start without it.
if you try to start the car a few times without the chip, the car will have to be towed to get the body control module re programmed .

You actually dont have to go to Nissan dealership. Go to Rush Locks and Keys, they will sell you the key way cheaper then go to dealership to get it cut and programmed. The dealership makes their money on up charging for the key blank. Trust me, it saved me.
