You need to be a contortionist with the proper set of swivel head sockets and extensions...preferably 1/4" drive, a good flashlite and LOTS of paitence. Leave the beer for later....good luck!

Take a cheap wrench of the correct size and, use a torch and, a hammer and, vice to bend it until it clears the obstruction
that is what we do at the shop

What I did was take a spark plug socket and used a angle head ratchit wrench. Put tape on the end of socket so it didnt come out of wrench.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
  2. Apply the parking brake.
  3. Unplug all necessary electrical connections.

  6. If necessary, remove the brake light switch.

I have excessive brake travel, and a hard time 98 chevy blazer

Two issues...
The brake booster has a ruptured diaphragm. Replace the booster.
It is located under the hood between the brake master cylinder and the firewall.

Your master cylinder may be leaking fluid internally past the plunger.
Have it examined when you change the booster.

Very high idle

probably is brake booster if you can hear hissing sound, would not advise disconnecting hose, would be extremely hard to stop the vehicle, a dangerous situation. also check for vaccum leaks on intake manifold. follow brake booster hose to engine and check for leak from there
