Question about 2005 Chevrolet Malibu
Whenever I am turning or steering my 2005 Chrysler Pacifica, I hear a popping sound. It makes no noise when driving down the road, but when I turn the steering wheel, I begin to hear a popping sound. What could this be? I want to take it to be repaired, but would like to know what it could possibly be before I take it in. What does it generally cost to fix this problem?
It is called a clockspring.
the other thing to check is that the rear part of the steering wheel is clearing the column shroud properly.
call a few places in your area and how much it is to change the clockspring.
