Question about 2007 Dodge Caliber SXT Sport Hatchback

With the petal to the metal, the car goes 10mph

I was driving on the highway and the car basically died. The light bolt dummy light came on. After popping the hood I realized that was the fuse box logo. I don't have an owners manual to find out what fuse may be bad. This is a 2007 Dodge caliber. It starts just fine but shakes a little after running. It is drivable but only goes very slow. Also when I pump the gas it jerks a little. Please help. I am hopeing its only a fuse. I'm having the same problem with my Caliber. When I hit the gas, it seems like it almost shuts off before it will finally take off. Plus it makes like a hollow winding sound. Thought it might be the transmission, but the dealership says the transmissions fine.....

I just recently went thru this same problem and it ended up being the throtle plate and the computer. I had to have them both replaced.

Toyota Camry 2007 Car dies and rear defrost light blinks

If you have small hands it can be easy. The space between firewall and EGR is tight but it wasn't too difficult to remove. The vacuum hose at the bottom was hard to pull off and I ended up cracking it and had to splice it. It was more difficult to re-install the EGR then remove it. I had a difficult time with keeping the gasket aligned while bolting it in to the lower tube. I took a few attempts. I suggest when replacing the EGR leave the mounting bolts loose so you can more easily align the metal tube. I would tighten the metal tube at the bottom of EGR first then tighten the upper two mounting bolts on top. It took me about 5 minutes to remove and 15 minutes to replace. I would be sure to clean the IAC too after cleaning the EGR. I sprayed throttle bottle cleaner down the bottom hole located on the throttle body and let soak about 15 minutes then start and run the engine a minute and repeat the process.

My 2003 Ford Focus dies when idling after a little road trip.

have the check engine light checked at a parts store its usuall free. I would bet its the idle air control motor. This controls the fuel air mixture at idle

Loss of fuel pressure.
1. Clogged fuel filter (replace anyway)
2. Fuel pressure regulator (stays open)
3. Fuel pump

Oil pressure

Have someone put a mechanical oil pressure gauge on it. If pressure is at or below 15psi hot at idle, likely you have an internal engine problem (bearings etc) If you have been driving it like this for any amount of time, and pressure is low, likely your choices are either drive it till it dies or replace the engine. If pressure is normal, change the sending unit and look elsewhere for the noise.
I know you aren't happy about my answer (no one likes bad news) but those are the facts.
good luck.

Brake light on, power brakes seem gone

Chk. for vacume to booster, or loss of vacume like a break in vacume hose, do you hear a hissing noise when you step on break peddel. If you don't hear anything chanses are its the booster. When peddel gets hard to push you either lost vacume or booster went bad.

92 Trooper will not start!

An O2 Sensor wouldn't cause all your Problems... I would First see if your fuel pump is kicking on, Just have your buddy get in the truck, and turn the key to the ACC notch (its the one where all the lights on the dash light up) and you need to get under the gas tank and you should hear the Pump kick on, If you don't then your Fuel pump went bad.

The Over Heating Problem, Might be One of three things 1 Low Coolent/Old Coolent. Or 2 Your Radaitor is just too old to cool effectly, Replace the Rad and you should eb good, Or third would be your fan clutch, Pop the hood, And spin the fan, if it will spin but not vary far and theres resistance. The fan clutch is good, But if you can spin the fan Freely with no restance then you need a new fan clutch.
