Question about 2000 Chevrolet S-10
I have a 2000 chevy S10 Pick up 4 cylender and checked for power at connector to AC compressor and no power. I checked for power at the 10 amp fuse, AC fuse is ok, but no power at fuse socket. Any thoughts of why I would not have power at fuse socket. I also checked AC relay by switching it with the horn relay that is the same type relay and it works. I ran a jumper wire from the battery to the AC compressor and it works fine, I just don't have any power coming from the main wire to the compressor. My fan seems to be working fine when I put it on AC max and AC selections as well as all other selection on the switch.
Thanks in advance for looking at my posting and any other assistance in the future with this problem I am having.
It sounds like you may be low on freon, if the low pressure switch, senses low freon pressure, it won't let the A/C come on. You either have low freon, or the low pressure switch on the accumulator has gone bad. Both common problems with that vehicle.
