Question about 1993 Honda Accord
I have a 93 Accord with 152K miles. The brake lamp in the dashboard came on even though all of the brake lights work fine. After that the brake lamp and all of the door lamps came on. I've taken it to the shop and paid to have them trace the electrical. They normally do not work on Honda's. At first they said it had a short and replaced a wire. I've taken it back twice. The brake lamp is still lit when I start the car and it remains on. When I restart the car, the light goes off. I've had the car since new and have maintained it. Any ideas? I have a 93 Honda Accord with the same problem i check all the fuses, light bulbs and replaced most even though they were working. I dont know what the problem could be i read several solutions. One being that if the car is low in brake fluid could cause it, also i was told ther was a fuse under the stearing colum, but i never found anything.
This light is controlled by the hand brake, brake fluid level and on some models the brake pad wear indicators.
Low brake pads or a broken sensor wire is a common reason for this problem.

Your brake lamp is on not because of anything to do with your brake lights. It is because of your emergency brake is either on or misadjusted. chect it out. thank you.
