You put it in the tube that the dip-stick is in. Check the fluid first, .....engine @ operating temp, parking brake ON!...in neutral. It should be in-between the SAFE lines. If not....add the proper type fluid...a cup or so at a time, so you don't overfill it!

Cadillac deville pouring transmission fluid

transmission lines to radiator is leaking. The radiator will help cool the transmission fluid in most vehicles, and these lines can get crimped or become loose during normal vehicle maintence. Replace the lines and connectors, and recheck transmission fluid level. MIght just be a loose connection you could possibly tighten up. Busted or cracked radiator?

Hi were do I pour the transmission oil for my mitsubishi V6 Magna 1997

There should be a dip stick where you pull it out to check your fluid level of the automatic transmission. You check it while the car is running and in park and warmed up. To put transmission fluid in, you would get a funnel to fit the opening of the dipstick hole. First take out dipstick, place funnel into the hole and pour the fluid into the funnel. Depending how low your level is, it will not take a lot to bring the level back up to normal. Pour some in and check level. DO NOT OVER FILL!

Transmission leak

Take out your key, open the trunk, set the container of transmission fluid in the trunk, close the trunk lid. Now the fluid is in your car. Just kidding! The owners manual tells you how to check the level (some running and in gear, others with the engine off) and you use a funnel to pour it into the transmission dip stick tube. Do not overfill, that will cause churning, foaming, and could blow one of the seals in the transmission which could be costly.

I cant check fluid in transmission no dipstick

THE 4T40 E 4T45 E AND 4T65 E THESE TRANSMISSIONS DONT HAVE A FILL TUBE WITH DIP STICK.THOSE TRANSMISSION VECHICLE HAS TO BE PUT ON A LIFT AND LEVEL. TRANSMISSION HAS A FLUID CHECK PLUG LOWER HOUSING TRANSMISSION JUST ABOVE THE OIL DRAIN PLUG.TO CHECK FLUID TRANSMISSION NEED TO BE OPERATING TEMPERATURE. WITH ENGINE RUNNING AND TRANSMISSION FLUID PLUG REMOVE IF TRANSMISSION FLUID POURS OUT. CHECK PLUG HOLE.YOU HAVE TOO MUCH TRANSMISSION FLUID IN TRANSMISSION.IF FLUID DONT DRIP OUT HOLE NEED TO ADD A PINT AT A TIME.IF FLUID DRIPS OUT SLOWLY FLUID CORRECT TO POUR TRANSMISSION IN TRANSMISSION RAISE HOOD LOOK ON TOP TRANSMISSION ON DRIVER SIDE FOR A RED VENT FILL PLUG.REMOVE PLUG USING A LONG LONG FUNNEL POUR TRANSMISSION FLUID IN THE VENT FILL PLUG HOLE.THIS VECHICLE THE DEALERSHIP HAS TO CHECK FLUID USING A LIFT.YOU CAN DO THIS JOB BUT IT WILL VERY DANGEROUS YOU CAN PUT CAR ON JACK STANDS WITH VECHICLE SITTING LEVEL. BUT THE DANGER PART COMES YOU HAVE TO SLIDE UNDER THE CAR WHILE ENGINE RUNNING TO CHECK FLUID.IF YOU DO THIS JOB HAVE FRIEND OR HELPER AROUND DONT WORK UNDER CAR BY YOUR SELF ALWAYS KEEP CELLUAR PHONE ON HAND FOR EMERGENCY.

Could you tell me where to put the transmission fluid in a 1988 honda accord dx. I can't seem too find it.

If there is a dip stick to show you the level of the fluid in the transmission, the transmission fluid is added through the dip stick tube. With the dip stick out, place a funnel in the tube opening and pour the fluid into the funnel.

Where to put transmission fluid?

it goes in the fil tube with a funnel. Make sure you check it with warm engine and shift through all the gears. Then shut off and wait a few minutes for drain back. Do not over fill. Use Mercon V.
