Question about 1993 Toyota Celica

1 Answer

1992 toyota celica 4afe 1.6 lt Died at the intersection

My car died while I sat at an intersection. I thought it might be the timing belt, but that was not it. I am not getting any power from the coil. I have had the coil check and it is fine. Where do I go from here?

I was thinking it might be the control modual in the distributor. I have a line on a used one from the you-pull-it place. When I get the modual I will also buy a new flow sensor. Would a bad flow sensor keep spark from getting to the coil?

Try replacing your MAF. Mass air flow sensor.

Died driving down the road, no problem turning over, but won't start

It souds like the same problem i had a few months ago, have your timing belt checked, i am most certainly sure that it is the belt, usualy the belt breaks, or slips off the pulley.......hope this is helpful.

SOunds like the timing belt has broke. To check you can take off distributor cap and turn over engine and see if the rotor turns. If not you have a busted timing belt. Please rate this a fixya if this helps. Thanks!!!
