Question about 1999 Ford Taurus

Windshield wipers will not work, battery drains

My windshield wipers quit working. All fuses were checked, the dash was taken appart looking for lose wires, nothing was found, so they reset the computer and they worked.... for a couple days. My radio doesn't work and my driver's side electric seat does not work. All fuses have been checked, rechecked, and rechecked. There seems to possibly be a short somewhere. Now, something is draining my battery. What would keep running while the car is off, the keys are not in the ingnition, all lights are off and the doors are all shut?

Do you have a light bulb in the glove box? if so pull it out, and it sounds to me like the multifunction switch is malfunctioning, the battery being low would cause the radio not to work if the voltage drops beloow 11 volts so try the multi function switch, if you can follow a wiring diagram then go to http://www.alldatadiy.com buy a subscription for your car clcik on search and type in symptom also look at recalls for your car that wil help you to figure out what is wrong if you need more assistance let me know.

Click on the link, check fuse f13--20 amp. Not only check the fuse, check the fuse circuit for voltage, use a test lite, hot all the time.
You have to test when problem is ongoing. The fuse is for brake lamps.
At the moment, I don't know if trouble shooting one system will fix the rest? With multiple issues, I pick one system and trouble shoot.

Windsheild wipers just quit working, and i cant find any fuses for this.where is it?

There is a 30 amp (pink) fuse located in the fuse box located inside the car (see picture below) and it is in the number 11 position in that box. That fuse is for the wiper system there is also a hi/low wiper relay located in the power distribution box located in the engine compartment. It is in the number 1 position (the big number 1 not the diode or fuse). You may want to check that out as well if the fuse is good. The picture for that is also below. I hope this helped and good luck.

Windshield wipers quit working in my BMW x5 2000

The first thing i would do would be check the fuses. Look in your owners manual for where the different fuses that might control your windshield wipers. There may be more than one. Check these fuses. If you cannot tell if it is blown by looking at it, check the fuses using a voltmeter set to read continuity.

My windshield wipers suddenly quit working.

First check the fuse, if the fuse is good check to see if you are getting power at the wiper motor. Power at the motor means bad motor, no power is either the switch or wiring.

Wipers won't come on at all

Check the fuse, check if the motor is getting electricity. If the motor is easy to access disconnect the cables from it. Connect cables from the battery to the motor negative to negative positive to positive. If no movement look no further, replace the motor. If the fuse is good, the motor is good then the switch might be the culprit. Check it and or replace it.
