Question about 1998 Dodge Intrepid

1 Answer

Car shaking at 60-65mph, but goes away after speeding up to 68-70mph and doesn't come back until I slow down back to 60-65.

Car accelerates with no problems until I reach 60-65mph and then it shakes. If I continue to spped up to 70mmph it goes away. Any ideas? Could it something with the tires?

The engine falters at low speeds

The flashing engine check light means a code is being stored in the computer. You need to have this code read and this will tell you what system is malfunctioning.

Car randomly accelerates without pushing down on pedal and cruise control is not working

It sounds to me like a problem with cruise control? Turn it off and/or unhook it, drive it a bit and see if accelerating problem goes away? If it does, you need to troubleshoot the cruise control. Any applicable trouble codes?
That sounds dangerous to me, I'd disable the cruise control till you find the problem.
I don't know what testing you have done?

It sounds like you need a tune change at least the wires and plugs it also could be a worn or broke motor or tranny mount.
